Dr. Hubicki is a nationally renowned speaker on the subject of robotics, receiving a Gilbreth Lectureship from the National Academy of Engineering in 2020. All talks are filled with video, stories, lessons, fun, and laughs. I speak to all audiences, including grade school, college, grad school, professional organizations, to anyone who wants to learn (and have fun in the process!). If your university, school, or organization is interested in booking a talk, contact me at the email above (chubicki [AT] fsu [DOT] edu).

Topics include:

  • “Robotics, Survivor, and Lessons about Control”

    • Christian blends his unique experience as a robotics researcher and his adventure on the popular reality TV series, Survivor. Dreamed up while marooned in Fiji, this talk is filled lessons about the cutting edge of robotics and how they apply to everything - even being stranded on a deserted island in a million-dollar game. A fun mix of science, entertainment, and life lessons for all audiences from kids to professionals.

  • “The Science of Walking Robots”

    • A seminar touring of the wondrous science and engineering behind those amazing machines that walk and run - including Dr. Hubicki’s own work in the field. Particularly great for universities and professional organizations, but also works for high school audiences. This talk earned Christian a Gilbreth Lectureship in 2020 awarded by the National Academy of Engineering.

  • “How Robots Work”

    • A great talk for grade schoolers. Dr. Hubicki shows how the math, science, and people skills you learn in school are what power the robots of the future.

  • … and seminars on technical topics including robotics, control, and biomechanics.
